Policy draft for operator review

This page describes the site’s intended practices. It remains a draft until the operator completes the legal and operational review.

Directory operator: Rainier Growth Partners.

Browsing and saved lists

You can browse without a consumer account. Saved business identifiers stay in your browser’s local storage and are sent to the directory to load their current public details when you open your saved list. The list does not synchronize across devices. Clear it on the Saved page or clear this site’s browser data.

Accounts, claims, and submissions

Owner accounts use an email address and authentication records. A claim or correction may include your contact details, the listing concerned, and supporting evidence. We use those details to authenticate, review, and respond to the request. Private verification evidence and account contact details are not included in public business profiles.

Requests to a business or an agency

A form identifies its intended recipient and purpose. A request to a listed business is not consent to unrelated agency marketing, newsletter signup, or sale of your request. An agency assessment is sent to the agency you choose. Do not submit passwords, financial account credentials, health information, or other sensitive information in a general contact form.

Service providers and technical records

The guide uses hosting, database, authentication, and, when configured, transactional email providers to operate its services. They may process technical records needed to deliver and secure the service. Analytics, when enabled, are limited to approved event fields; contact-form text, personal contact details, verification tokens, and exact visitor locations are excluded.

Retention and requests

Operational retention depends on the type of record and the service configuration. We aim to keep inquiry and raw event records only as long as needed for their stated purpose, with a starting operational target of 90 days. Security investigations, unresolved requests, required records, or legal holds may require a different period. Backup copies can persist until their normal rotation completes; deleting a live record does not instantly erase every backup.

You can ask about, correct, or request deletion of personal information through directory contact. We may need enough information to verify the request and explain any records we need to retain. Do not send identity documents unless a reviewer specifically requests an appropriate method.

External destinations

Business websites, official lookup tools, connected agency sites, and Tacoma Newsletter operate their own services and policies. Follow their instructions when you choose to contact them or subscribe.

Changes

We will update this page when the site’s practices change and show a revised date. This draft requires operator review before it is treated as a final published policy.
